We've been very busy around here preparing for the National Stationery Show, and we can hardly believe that late next week we will be heading off to New York. There are still little details to wrap up, and bags to pack, and so many new products to share at the show... it's all a little overwhelming, sometimes!
We decided to take a break today and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a fabulous Mexican lunch! Whether or not you are of Mexican descent, and whether or not you know what Cinco de Mayo is all about, we hope you will take some time to celebrate today: celebrate who you are, the people around you, and life in general. Take a break from your hectic schedule and enjoy the moment! Because we couldn't share the actual lunch with you, we thought we would share a few pictures from our day. However, the food was so good, and we were so busy, that we neglected to take any pictures of the feast or festivities! Shame on us! Our good intentions were forgotten in our focus on enjoying and living life. Instead, please share with us how you celebrated Cinco de Mayo, or how you stopped to smell the roses and celebrate life!
If you want to celebrate a little more, try this recipe out after work:
Cinco de Mayo Margaritas
6 ounces frozen limeade concentrate
5 ounces 100 percent agave tequila
1 ounce good-quality orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier
3 cups ice
1. Combine limeade, tequila and orange liqueur in a blender and top with ice.
2. Blend on high until ice is broken up.
3. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
This recipe--because of the frozen limeade--is particularly yummy!
